As the Executive Director of the Indian Residential School Survivors' Society, I bring with me a wealth of experience and transferable skills that have shaped my journey. My passion for advocating for First Nation peoples in B.C (British Columbia). has been a driving force throughout my career. 

I began my path with the Snuneymuxw First Nation, where I spent seven years as a Negotiator and Assistant Negotiator, honing my skills in communication, community relations, and negotiation. This experience has been invaluable in understanding the needs and concerns of different stakeholders. 

Later, I continued my journey with Te’mexw Treaty Association, where I served as a communications Manager for six-and-a-half years. This role allowed me to further develop my abilities in strategic communication, public relations, and engagement. 

Now, as the Executive Director of the Indian Residential School Survivors' Society, I am dedicated to using my transferable skills to support Indigenous communities on their healing journey. I facilitate wellness workshops for Intergenerational and Residential School Survivors, educating and informing people about the impact of colonization on Indigenous Peoples in Canada. 

My commitment to fostering understanding, truth, and reconciliation is guided by the belief that acknowledgment is a crucial step towards healing and positive change. The work I do is not just about sharing the past; it's about being a voice for those who cannot share their stories at the moment. 

I am proud to be part of a journey that transcends beyond Indigenous history—it is Canadian history. My transferable skills, combined with my dedication to assisting Indigenous Peoples, are instrumental in creating a more empathetic and compassionate society.
