Adrienne Greyeyes

Indian Day School Coordinator

“Tansi, my name is Adrienne Greyeyes and I am nehiyaw from the Bigstone Cree Nation.”

Adrienne was born and raised on Dane zaa territory in Treaty 8 Territory (Fort st. John), where she and her husband are now raising their 2 sons.

Adrienne has a Bachelors of Fine Arts from Emily Carr University and has dedicated much of her time to learning from elders and knowledge keepers. She practices both traditional and contemporary art forms with a focus on beading and utilizing traditional methods of representing identity. In addition, Adrienne has 11 years of experience in advocating for Indigenous children, youth and families involved in the child protection system. 

Adrienne strongly believes in utilizing and honouring traditional ways of understanding and healing to continue supporting the needs of our communities. In addition, she continues the life long journey of pursuing cultural arts and values teachings to ensure that she practices in a good way, and is able to play a role in the continuity of cultural practices.
