September 30th is now the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation – a day when we take time to remember the Survivors of Indian Residential Schools and the many children who never made it home. This broadcast offers a brief background on the new federal statutory holiday, including what can be done towards reconciliation and how to find support as a Survivor.

This story features an interview with IRSSS crisis line team lead Daisy Elliott, who talks to CTV News about the importance of remembrance on the National Day of Truth and Reconciliation.
